Beatriz Elena Mora Escobar

 

Born in Colombia, received a Bachelor Degree in Voice Singing of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Antioquia in 1997.

 

In his career has performed music of all genres, including Colombian music, in which had won several contests and awards nationwide by the direction of the priest Juan José Briceño and directors of National Orchestras.

 

  • Participation in the “Medium and The Turn of the Screw Opera” University of Antioquia;


  • Participation as soloist with the Symphonic Orchestra of Medellin in the Opera “Carmen in Concert”, “Oratorio The Creation of Haydn and the Requiem by Mozart”;


  • Participation with the Jaime Manzur Foundation in the Zarzuela seasons of 1998 and 1999;


  • Participation with the Lyric Art Foundation since 2000 in different roles: In the Opera “Carmen” in the role of Micaela. “Traviata” as Violeta. “Tabernera del Pueblo”, as Marola. Also in the Operetta “The Merry Widow” as the main character Anna Glawari. “El Murcielago” as Adele. “The Count of Luxembourg” as Juliet. In the Zarzuela “Los Gavilanes” in the role of Rosaura and “Luisa Fernanda” as the Duchess Carolina. In “Maria La O” playing the role of Niña Tula;


  • Participation with the Camarin del Carmen Foundation in the comic opera “La Vie Parisiense” of Offenbach playing the role of Guantera and Motete in “Exultate Jubilate” of Mozart;


  • Finalist in the I, II and IV “Festival Opera y Zarzuela al Parque” 2002, 2003 promoted by the Institute of Culture and Tourism;


  • Winner of the “Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra Of Colombia Program”;


  • Soloist in the “Requiem of Mozart” under the direction of Master Alejandro Posada;


  • Invited soloist by the Young Symphony Orchestra of Colombia in the “Beethoven IX Symphony”, “Malher IV Symphony” and the “Bachianas” by Hector Villalobos;


  • Participation with the Colombian Opera in the “Magic Flute” of Mozar in the role of Pamina;


  • Participation in the Summer Festival of Opera in Caramoor as Young Vocal Artist Ensemble, New York 2004. Operas “Paride ed Elena” as Troyan II. “Don Quixote in Sierra Morena” of Francesco Conti as Ordongo;


  • Participation of the “Gala Lirica” with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bogota, 2005;


  • Award as Outstanding Soloist in the IX Festival Opera and Zarzuela at Park. Bogotá 2006;


  • In 2008 participation of the worldwide premier of the Opera “Mozote” from Master Luis Diaz in the main role character of Rufina in the Opera and Zarzuela at Park promoted by the Institute of Culture and Tourism;


  • Participated in the Caja Rural Huelva (Spain) Concert with tenor Guillermo Orozco. March 2009;


  • Participated during 3 consecutive times at the New Year’s Eve Concert in the Fine Arts Theater promoted by City TV and Fine Arts Theater.

 

Actually works with the Bel Trio, group that has been selected for the Institute of Culture and Tourism of Bogotá for some concerts in several venues of Bogotá. Also working in the soon release of the first album “BEATRIZ MORA, LYRICS”.

 

Her vocal training has been in charge of Master Ramon Calzadilla, likewise took singing classes and Interpreting with north American Master Will Crutchfield, with the german Master Detlef Sholz, the Bulgarian Master Danail Ilieva, Master Cesar Gutierrez and attended to a Master class with Italian Master Renata Scotto.

 

In her experience as teacher has worked for 11 years with Cooperative University of Colombia. 13 years offering singing prívate classes and 2 years working with the Central University of Colombia.
