Piotr Reichert

A Sofia Academy of Music graduated (1980, Aleksander Nejnski’s class). 1981-88 a violist with the Polish Chamber Orchestra led by J. Maksymiuk and the Sinfonia Varsovia. Since 1998 a member of the Camerata Ouartet (prizes in Paris 1990, – 1st prize, Munich – Karl Klingler Preis, and Tokyo).

Chamber music recordings for DUX, THOROFON, RICERCAR, KOCH awarded with Diapason d’Or (1994), Studio 1995 (Record of the Year), Fryderyk 2000, Sforzando (Crescendo magazine ’95), PizzicatoAward (Luxembourg, 2009). Concertized throughout Europe, USA, Japan and China. He is the teacher of the viola at the F. Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and Białystok, and the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. His pupils have won prizes at numerous international music competitions, such as ARD in Munich, Lionel Tertis in UK and International Music Competition in Geneve.
