Olga Pasichnyk

 

studied at Kiev Conservatory and Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw. In 1992 she joined the chamber opera of Warsaw. Concerts led her to famous halls in Europe (Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Salle Pleyel, Châtelet, deSingel Antwerpen, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Konzerthaus Berlin, Bozar Brussels, De Doelen Rotterdam) and various halls in Japan, the United Kingdom, Italy, Japan and Australia.

 

Highlights of the past years include Donna-Anna (Don Giovanni) in concert, followed by a recording for Harmonia Mundi with Freiburger Barockorchester led by René Jacobs, Contessa (Nozze di Figaro) revival of Aix-en-Provence production, several Haendel parts – for which she was called “Singer of the year” – as Almirena (Rinaldo), Dalinda (Ariodante), Dorinda (Orlando) at Flanders Opera and Bavarian State Opera), Bellezza (Il Trionfo…) led by Marc Minkowski at Salle Pleyel, Düsseldorf and Granada, Morgana (Alcina) at Paris Opera, Semele (title-role) in Essen, Cleopatra (Giulio Cesare) in Warsaw and Achille in Deidamia at DNO Amsterdam.

 

The two last seasons included guest engagements as Pamina at ONR Strasbourg, Euridice (Gluck) and Qudsja Zaher (Pawel Szymanski)- world creation at Wielki Theatre Warsaw and Ginevra in Ariodante at Aalto Theater Essen (debut in the role). In concert she performed at Prague Spring International Festival 2013 in Poulenc’s Gloria, together with Prague Symphony Orchestra, led by Jean-Claude Casadesus and appeared at Tonhalle Zürich in Mahler 4 and Lutoslawski’s “Chantefleurs et “Chantefables” under the baton of Michal Nesterowicz.

 

During the current season she will sing Roxana in Krol Roger (Szymanowski) with Boston Symphony led by Charles Dutoit, make her debut at Komische Oper Berlin and participate in opera revivals in Essen and Warsaw. In concert she will appear amongst other with Tonhalle Orchester Zürich (Penderecki, Symphony 8), La Chambre du Roy, Münchener Kammerorchester and Belgian National Orchestra.

 

Roles since 2008 include Blanche (Dialogues des Carmélites) at Flanders Opera, Aennchen (Freischütz) in Geneva, La Calisto title-role (Cavalli) at Bavarian State Opera, Roxana in (Krol Roger/Szymanovski) at Bastille, Teatro Real de Madrid, Bregenzer Festspiele, Wielki Theatre and La Monnaie Brussels, Micaela (Carmen) in Lille, Ilia (Idomeneo) with Musiciens du Louvre led by Marc Minkowski, Megacle (l’Olimpiade, Pergolesi) at Innsbruck Festival and Tomiri in “Il Tigrane” (Scarlatti) in Nice.

Moulds, Daniel Rajski, Th. Guschlbaue, M. Nesterowiczand M. Elder.

 

The complete discography of Olga Pasichnyk includes meanwhile roughly 45 CDs. Her recordings illustrate her large concert, Lied and opera repertoire as well as the various musical periods and styles she masters.

 

Olga Pasichnyk is regularly touring with her sister, the talented pianist Natalya Pasichnyk, with whom she realized several internationally awarded recordings, the duo can frequently be heard on main concert- and chamber music halls.
