Krzysztof Trzaskowski

 

was born on 10th of May 1987 in Białystok, Poland. His musical education began at the age of five in Private School of Music in the class of Andrzej Czemiel. In 2005 he graduated from the National School of Music in Białystok in the class of Krystyna Wachowska. He had been improving his skills under the guidance of Prof. Bronisława Kawalla, Prof. Piotr Paleczny and Prof. Maja Nosowska. He is a graduate and presently adjunct professor at Frederic Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. From year 2017 he is a coach pianist in Polish Royal Opera.

 

Krzysztof participated in numerous master classes with such pianists as Andrzej Jasinski, Tatiana Shebanova, Jerzy Sulikowski, Dang Thai Son, Bernard Ringeissen, Jacques Rouvier or Daejin Kim. Krzysztof has been awarded in numerous piano competitions, including Chopin’s Competition in Jelenia Góra (2nd prize and special award), Ignacy Jan Paderewski Competition in Piotrków Trybunalski (1st place and three special awards), in Łódź (1st place), Chopin’s Competition in Narva (3rd place) and the Polish Piano Festival in Słupsk. In 2005 he was a laureate of the Chopin’s National Piano Competition, semi-finalist and the winner of the special prize in XV International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. He was classified among the participants of National Children’s Fund (2000-2005). Krzysztof is also a holder of many scholarships: Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (2000, 2009, 2010), Ministry of Culture (2004 and 2005), Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the “Young Poland” program (2007). In 2006 and 2013 he received a scholarship from Marshal of Podlaskie Voivodeship.

 

As a soloist he played under the baton of various conductors, namely Jerzy Maksymiuk, Ernst Hoetzl, Tadeusz Chachaj, Jan Miłosz Zarzycki, Zygmunt Rychert, Tomasz Tokarczyk, Kazimierz Dąbrowski, Marcin Wolniewski and Monika Wolińska. Krzysztof performed in Japan, China, South Korea, India, USA, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Russia, Bulgaria, Romania, Tunisia, Lithuania, Estonia and Poland. He guided master classes in India as part of the Chopin’s Year (2010). He played series of concerts during Chopin’s Year 2010 with Adam Makowicz called “Chopin classical and jazz”. Krzysztof inaugurated Chopin’s Year 2010 in prestigious Konczerthaus in Berlin, and performed the closing ceremony in Auditorio di Milano. In year 2017 he was a jury member in Manhattan International Music Competition held in Carnegie Hall in New York. He recorded for Polish Radio and Television.
