Marcel Groblewski

 

He was born in 2002 and is still a pupil of the Secondary Musical School in Warsaw, where he studies violin under directions of professor Jan Stanienda.

 

In the season 2018/2019 he was awarded a scholarship of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. He took part in numerous master’s courses in Poland and America.

 

He has been invited twice for soloist performances in the concert halls of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice. In their great hall, he performed in January 2019 the 3rd part of Beethoven’s Triple Concerto Op. 56, and on the chamber stage played the 1st part of Beethoven’s Piano Trio No. 3 in C minor, Op. 1 No. 3, as well as the 1st part of Dvořák’s Piano Trio No. 4 in E minor, Op. 90.

 

He took part and received awards in numerous violin competitions, some being of domestic and some of international importance. Of these the most important were: International Strings Competition in Elbląg, Poland (2019), 17th and 18th Juliusz Zarębski International Music Competition in Łomiani, Poland (2017, 2018), Ludomir Różycki Nationwide Violin Festival in Kielce, Poland (2018), 14th Karol and Antoni Szafranek Nationwide Forum of Youth Instrumentalists in Rybnik, Poland (2018), Nationwide Chamber Ensembles Competition CEA in Toruń, Poland ( 2018 ), 2nd International Competition Nałęczów & Violin (2017) and 17th International Violin Competition “Janko Muzykant” (2017).

 

His achievements go back to primary school when he had experiences in theatre, movies and dubbing. In the years 2012-2015 he played the leading part in the musical “The Little Prince” at the Musical Theatre “Roma” in Warsaw. Prior to that, in 2011-2012 he had a part in “Les Miserables” as Gavroche, also in the Musical Theatre “Roma”. In 2009 he appeared in the children TV show “Mini-Szansa”, where he sang with the Polish queen of pop Maryla Rodowicz.

 

He had parts in several Polish movies: “Czuwaj” by Robert Gliński (2016), “Anatomia zła” by Jacek Bromski (2015), “Obywatel” by Jerzy Stuhr (2014) and “Pokaż kotku, co masz w środku” by Sławomir Kryński (2010).

 

He also dubbed in several animations for children. His main creations are: “Pettson and Findus – The Best Christmas” (Findus), “Peter Rabbit” (the leading part), “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood” (the leading part), “Ella the Elephant”, “Creative Galaxy” (the leading part).

 

In his free time, he likes reading fantasy and travel books. He dreams of seeing the world and knowing exotic cultures and exotic cuisines. He is particularly interested in USA and South Korea.
