Fryderyk Midor

was born in 2008 in the city of Katowice, Poland. He started his musical adventure when he was still 5 years old, with classic guitar. Juvenile fascination with rock cellists of the metal band Apocalyptica inspired Fryderyk to take on this instrument.

As a six-year-old he started education at the Musical School in Katowice, at a cello class lead by Alicja Murzynowska. Since 2017 he works under tuition of professor David Grigorian, an alumnus of the famous Moscow Conservatory and a pupil of Mstislav Rostropovich. Since 2019 he studies under directions of doctor Arkadiusz Dobrowolski.

Fryderyk has received awards in 30 cello competitions in Poland, Czech Republic, Croatia, Germany and Slovakia. He likes cats and Lego bricks. He loves skiing and… playing cello.
