Miłosz Rutkowski

 

Percussionist, composer; graduate of the Academy of Music in Wrocław. He started his musical career in 1992, making his debut with the band “Salted Peanuts”, which he founded. He is a laureate of the following competitions: Jazz Juniors Cracow, Poznań Jazz Fair, Pomeranian Jazz Autumn – Key to Career [band prize, soloist prize, composer prize – Grand Prix]. He has collaborated with artists such as Trilok Gurtu, Enildo Rasua, Peter Herbolzheimer, Piotr Wojtasik, Maciej Sikała, José Torres and many others.

 

In 2013, he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Arts in instrumental studies at the Academy of Music in Wrocław.

 

His works for vibraphone and marimba have been published by Norsk Musikforlag. In June 2022, he performed a concerto for marimba and strings by Roberto Oetomo for the first time in Poland at the National Forum of Music in Wrocław.

 

He has made recordings of several original albums and participated in the realisation of many recording sessions of classical, jazz and percussion ensembles. He is currently the First Percussionist at the National Forum of Music in Wrocław and performs both solo and with his own ensembles and the percussion group “Repercussion”.
